Overview:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Curriculum Coordinator. The Curriculum Coordinator reports to the Director of Instruction and provides instructional leadership in the areas of curriculum development and program evaluation, implementation and analysis of district assessments, and professional development for instructional secondary education staff. The Curriculum Coordinator uplifts and supports equity and inclusion work in all facets of curriculum and instruction, including work specifically tied to Integrated Comprehensive Systems of Equity throughout the district.
Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Instruction in coordinating the curriculum renewal process for all content areas of secondary education, with alignment to Common Core State Standards and/or other national benchmarks and standards.
• Conduct on-going evaluation of instructional models and materials, based upon student performance data.
• Assist with identification, selection, and implementation of specific curriculum models and materials.
• Ensure that culturally relevant materials and instructional models are selected.
• Provide leadership in the identification and implementation of instructional practices, delivery systems, and formative assessments that maximize student growth.
• Provide leadership in professional development for instructional staff.
• Provide leadership on systems of progress monitoring to ensure attainment of district, state and federal proficiency standards of performance for all students.
• Engage and partner with staff in implementing co-planning/co-serving, employing a multi-tiered system of support, and problem-solving at the district, building, classroom, and individual student levels.
• Provide leadership to curricular teams in the development of standards-based grading practices and report cards.
• Collaborate with school improvement teams and align practice with the MGSD Equity Non-Negotiables.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

Licensure:

• Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license required.
• Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Reading (316/1316) or Reading Specialist (17/5017) license preferred.
• Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction administrative license preferred.

Experience and Training:

• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction or closely related field required.
• Minimum of five years of successful experience in an educational setting.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required.
