09/01/2023 Monona Grove School District: Monona Grove School District has an opening for an Assistant Track and Field Coach. Approximate assignment dates are March 4, 2024 - June 7, 2024.
Overview:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Boys Assistant Track Coach.
Responsibilities:

• Create and implement workouts/drills and run daily practice for event group.
• Help keep track of group/team statistics.
• Participate in team/coaches’ meetings, events, meets, and daily practice.
• Help run meets/events when needed.
• Exhibit communication skills with athletes and coaches.
• Work closely with head and assistant coaches and help out as needed.
• Support athletic department and team philosophies.
• Must be available weekday afternoons/evenings beginning at 3:30pm and occasional Saturdays for meets or morning practices.

Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: .

• Must have the ability to work with high school aged students.
• Must have substantial knowledge of the fundamentals of track and field principles and of specific event group technique.
• Must meet any additional qualifications established by the district.
• Experience coaching and/or competing in track and field required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to create and implement effective, event-specific drills and workouts.

License Requirement:

• Certified Teaching License and/or ASEP/CNLT Certification.
• First Aid / CPR Certification
