Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Seafood Clerk to join our team. As a Seafood Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality seafood products are available to our customers. Duties:

- Assist customers in selecting fresh seafood products and provide recommendations on cooking methods and recipes

- Receive, inspect, and properly store seafood deliveries to maintain freshness and quality

- Prepare seafood products for display, including cleaning, filleting, and portioning

- Ensure proper labeling and pricing of seafood products

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, including display cases and storage areas

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of our customers

- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and rotating products as needed

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the seafood department

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a food-related role, such as a restaurant or kitchen environment, is preferred

- Knowledge of seafood handling techniques, including filleting and portioning, is highly desirable

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision when handling knives and other sharp tools

- Basic understanding of food safety practices and regulations

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner
