MONDAY | RESTAURANT & BAR is seeking an experienced LEAD HOST. The Lead Hostperson is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in outlets as assigned and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform
• Manage all aspects of Opentable.
• Lead team members to open, transition, and close shifts
• Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
• Be able to manage floor plans, seating rotation and guest requests with grace
• Be attentive of guests' needs assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Handles all opening and closing duties required to operate the restaurant and ensures that all stocking is done, tables are properly set, and the dining room is clean.
• Communicates all necessary and important information with the Restaurant Manager and the entire Food and Beverage team.
• Capable of multi-tasking and working at a fast but thorough pace.
• Complete all side work that has been assigned.
• Attends the daily pre-shift meeting to learn any important daily information as well as any other scheduled staff meetings.
• Monitors cleanliness throughout the restaurant (primarily host stand, main dining area)
• Records customer reservations over the phone and through Open Table
• Monitors seating times in a consistent manner providing the highest quality of service to the customer at all times
• Maintains and updates restaurant seating charts according to upcoming events and large parties
• Learn basic menu knowledge, take to-go orders
• Transition into opening/closing duties
• Thank clients for their patronage when they are leaving
• Train new staff on The Morrow Group and restaurant policies and flow
• Oversee events and ensure they run smoothly
• Assist service staff with events to provide an exceptional experience for all party attendees
• Lead team members on shifts, including assigning tasks (cleaning, line duties, opening/closing duties), providing feedback and training
• Support appropriate personnel policies, labor laws and safety procedures
• Ability to train and coach others

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Prior hosting experience
• Opentable experience preferred but not mandatory
• Excellent organization skills
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers
• Team player and willing to be flexible with assigned tasks
• Able to stand for long periods of time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
