Our client located in Joliet is looking for an Manufacturing Scheduler/Expeditor for their 1st shift. This will be a direct hire position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
` Manage production schedule and priorities 
` Generate and release work orders made from raw material and/or finished stock. 
` Work closely with Plant Manager and other Production Control employees to establish and manage schedules for all areas of production. Ensure department standards and production goals are met. 
` Collaborate with Production Department to ensure process accuracy, meet customer delivery requirements, and maintain inventory. 
` Coordinate material procurement with Purchasing Department and work order accuracy with Quality Department. 
` Assist Plant Manager in liaising with Sales Department, providing regular status updates on existing orders, estimated lead times on quotes, and ensuring expediting of orders from customer calls and inquiries.
` Improve scheduling and forecasting tools/procedures to benefit all departments.
` Evaluate production and inventory data as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
` Knowledge of manufacturing work order scheduling, expediting and production processes 
` Positive, professional, and energetic attitude
` Strong attention to detail 
` Excellent verbal and written communication skills
` Reliable, organized, able to multitask, focused
` Team player that can collaborate with various departments.
` Proficiency with ERP system
` Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
