Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Art Teacher to facilitate our Summer Art Camp. This is a part-time position. Summer Camp takes place from June 24-August 9, 2024. As an Art Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in various art forms. This is a rewarding position that allows you to foster creativity and artistic expression in young minds.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement art lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Teach students various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, Lego and mixed media
- Provide guidance and support to students as they explore their artistic abilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on their artwork
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into cross-curricular activities
- Organize and display student artwork for exhibitions or showcases
- Accompany summer students on fieldtrips. Other duties required to manage a summer camp as assigned by Head of School.
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, such as an elementary school, daycare, or children's art studio.
- Strong knowledge of various art forms and techniques
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday. 9:00am-3:00pm.
