Position Summary:

The PRSD is responsible for providing related social work services so that each resident may attain the highest practicable level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

Duties Include:

• Plans and directs a comprehensive social services program which provides for support services for residents and families.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team approach to better serve the needs of the residents.
• Serves in a management capacity as a representative of the facility administration
• Provides for therapeutic intervention to help residents cope with the social and psychological aspects of their illnesses, impairments, or disabilities

Education/Experience:

• Master’s degree in related human services field.
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
• Must have experience working with persons with mental illness.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
