The Headlines:

In the role of Research & Development (R&D) Technologist II, working in Milwaukee, WI you will be a key supporting member of the R&D Innovation team to generate new product innovation opportunities that drive top and bottom line financial growth. You will support development work across both the Lab and the Pilot Plant to help turn ideas into reality.
 
This position reports to the Manager, Pilot Brewing Systems, and works closely with other members of the Pilot Plant team and Innovation Managers to take guidance and direction.

The Responsibilities: 
• Hands on operation and routine maintenance of Pilot Plant process equipment in accordance with SOP’s. Manage raw material, utility and finished product stocks in line with trial requirements. 
• Carry out CIP and cleaning activities to maintain a high quality and hygienic environment. Use and maintain Pilot Plant laboratory equipment, ensuring full compliance to calibration requirements.
• Work within cross functional teams to deliver Product and Process Development Projects. Plan, execute and report trial work in-line with Brilliant Execution.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and engage with WCSC 2.0 methodologies to improve Pilot Plant performance. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, in the areas of beverages, functional ingredients and flavours.

The Other Qualifications: 
• 2 years of experience in brewing/operational experience from a brewing company, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in food / beverage development.
• You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Brewing, Science or related field.
• R&D, Quality Assurance and process improvement experience is preferred.
• You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You act with appropriate urgency to various market events and trends that require a quick turnaround in plans and strategy
• You are confident and competent. You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
