Mollie Stone's Markets is Hiring a Remote Production Clerk

Mollie Stone’s Markets is a local, family owned grocery store chain in the San Francisco Bay area, serving customers since 1986. Currently maintaining 9 Grocery Stores, a Produce Warehouse and Headquarters in Mill Valley, CA, we succeed in the industry by ensuring we deliver a large variety of exciting and quality products in an attractive and positive environment.The Warehouse Production Clerk is responsible for various tasks from day to day and open to learning new skills. Individuals will be responsible for the daily production of high-quality food products for our produce, deli, cheese, bakery, and grocery. Our Food Production team work in conjunction with our chef/production team to accomplish the overall daily production requirements. This position requires a flexible schedule, including possible overnight shifts.Essential Functions:
  • Assist the GM/ Chef/ Production Lead in carrying out day-to-day operations of the production room
  • Follow recipe specifications as defined in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements
  • Ensure that food quality, quantity, freshness, and presentation meet all kitchen and recipe guidelines
  • Ensure that facilities are clean and products are stored properly/ labeled accordingly
  • Communicate to GM/ Chef/ Production Lead of needs for product, packaging, labels, supplies and ensure proper availability
  • Maintain cleanliness of all items/ products
  • Packing and labeling foods to go with accuracy and integrity
  • Producing raw goods into finished retail, ready consumer packaged goods
  • Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms and meet all spoilage targets
  • Measure and report on the fulfillment metrics daily
  • Communicate effectively and timely with supervisors
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years experience working in a kitchen environment with proven production experience
  • Serv-Safe certified
  • Experience cooking/ handling of cold and hot foods
  • Must be able to communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Packout/ Production Experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
  • Work in a refrigerated environment: 8 hours per day
  • Complete NGA Online Courses as required by Mollie Stone’s Markets. Including, but not limited to Sexual Harassment and Food Handlers Courses.
  • Must be able to clean, sweep, and maintain the facilities
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • We are always looking for leaders and the ability to grow within the company. Each team member is expected to treat the facilities with care and the attention of a leader.
Travel Requirements:
  • One field trip a quarter for a maximum time of a normal shift.
Salary range:
  • $19 to $25 per hour.
