MOFFITT CANCER CENTER is Hiring a Revenue Cycle Operations Analyst Near Tampa, FL

Position Highlights: Provides analysis of financial, clinical and professional billing data, and business consulting services to all Revenue Cycle departments to identify lost revenue, cost savings, and/or revenue enhancement opportunities. Interprets information from reports and other sources and advises customers of the meaning and impact of the information to the department and related strategies. Collaborates and communicates with Revenue Cycle teams, their opportunities identified and quantified payer errors, utilize reimbursement trends, assist redesigning processes to reduce costs and/or maximize revenue, while complying with payer and regulatory guidelines. Required to work cross functionally with departments internal and external to Revenue Cycle to recommend implementing process improvement and automation opportunities. Represent Revenue Cycle operations in projects spanning multiple areas. Key contributor in projects internal and external to Revenue Cycle involving unit and integrative testing impacting Revenue Cycle operations. Can assist with developing testing scripts involving Revenue Cycle workflows and coordinate with Revenue Cycle process owners to complete Revenue Cycle testing. Additional Revenue Cycle special projects as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs analysis of reports/data files to identify lost revenue, cost savings, and/or revenue enhancement opportunities Thoroughly document the analysis including the purpose, objectives, methodology, sample items selected within data set for review, attributes in examining sample items, results, pursuing exceptions identified in testing and, if needed, performing additional analysis. Collaborate internally with training and quality resources to develop training or narrative materials based on findings where appropriate. Works with Revenue Cycle and other departments to identify, assess, recommend and/or monitor process improvement or automation opportunities as a results of findings. Participates in the design, development and implementation of new and revised workflows and system applications impacting Revenue Cycle in collaboration with other departments and information technology staff. Completes various special projects as identified by management Minimum Requirements: Experience and Education: Bachelor#s Degree - Field of Study: Accounting, Business, Finance or related field## Minimum seven (7) years experience in financial data analysis, decision support, healthcare finance and/or payer setting; inclusive of five (5) years experience specifically in hospital/healthcare revenue cycle operations. -OR - Associate#s degree with an additional two (2) years of experience in hospital/healthcare revenue cycle operations may be considered #in lieu# of a Bachelor#s degree. OR - High School diploma with an additional three (3) years of experience in hospital/healthcare revenue cycle operations may be considered #in lieu# of a Bachelor#s degree
