Summary Position Highlights: Under direction of the Manager of Parking, Fleet & Transportation the Lead Transport Driver is responsible for assisting in the supervision out "in the field", organizing iStar drivers, which are the drivers we have that are dispatched. This position will be able to monitor the safety and timely transport of patients, visitors, staff, medical stats and other items between all Moffitt Center Center Campuses. This position will be the liaison between management & the drivers, while also transporting patients and/or STAT calls to all MCC campuses.

Responsibilities: - Lead the drivers with assigned delivery of lab patients, caregivers, supplies or any other assigned task by the Transportation, Fleet & Parking Manager
- Assign iStar Drivers and be liaison between drivers in the field and management *
- Follow directions in a efficient in the timely drop off/pick up of items from any building on any campus of Moffitt Cancer Center.
- Sets an example to others in performance and customer service
- Document any discrepancies and reports missing items and inventory concerns to Management
- Ability to lead others and have good decision making
- Follows proper traffic laws to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients, and citizens.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitizing of vehicles.
•Prepares and maintains spreadsheet if needed for specimens and item deliveries - Obtain proper signatures when necessary
- Ability to follow directions from two-way radios
- Ability to be a team player and do other tasks as needed for the patients of Moffitt Cancer Center
Credentials and Qualifications: - High School Diploma/ GED required
- Valid Florida Driver's License required - All Moffitt Drivers must be age 25 or older within 90 days of start date
- Minimum of three (3) years customer service required
- Ability to operate vehicles of various sizes and abilities from electric and gas driven trams (golf carts) to full sized vans.
- Ability to visually inspect key predetermined components of vehicle and determine if vehicle condition is safe for operation
- Ability to lead other team members and be able to portray a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to be very organized and make decisions "on the fly." * Knowledge of and able to perform routine preventative maintenance on all vehicles (fluid level checks, tire pressure checks, etc.).
- Intermediate computer skill levels, to include MS excel, outlook, calendar, Internet map and geographical software programs as well as use of cell phones for email communication and calendar scheduling.
Preferred - Associates Degree
