Summary

Position Highlights:

  • Fulfills all didactic, research, and work requirements as outlined in the ASHP Specialty Residency Manual.
  • Works centrally and decentrally to perform all functions of a Registered Pharmacist including accurate dispensing, clinical interaction with the health care team, patient care monitoring and supervision of the pharmacy technicians.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Is able to work independently, provide supervision to the technical staff, and provide support to peers.
  • Has professional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource for other health care providers (pharmacists, technicians, nurses, and physicians) through educational and training programs.
  • Will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team providing patient care.
  • Uses comprehensive practice skills in patient assessment, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, nutrition, pain management, and patient interactions.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Advanced pharmacy degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited program (Pharm.D.) required.
  • Licensure, or eligibility for pharmacy licensure, in the state of Florida is required.
