Summary
Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Data Analyst III within the Collaborative Data Sciences Core (CDSC) at the Moffitt Cancer Center. The Core is expressly designed to facilitate use of clinical data for research purposes. CDSC is a shared resource (or core facility) that helps drive innovation across all research programs by serving as an institutional hub for accessing Moffitt Cancer Center's robust patient data assets, spanning clinical, administrative, patient-reported outcomes, biospecimen, and molecular domains. CDSC’s provides Moffitt researchers with study design consultation, provisioning/releasing of patient-level data, and study specific medical record abstraction. The CDSC team is comprised of 12 full time dedicated staff.
Job Summary:
The Data Analyst III should have a strong background in using clinical data in a research environment, oncology datasets, epidemiological methods, and real-world data analytics, with an unwavering dedication to translating intricate data-related requirements from cancer research investigators into actionable data queries. In this role, you will be supporting Moffitt researchers in identifying the right data elements to answer their research questions and subsequently providing data sets that are ready for downstream analysis. As a Data Analyst III, you will serve as an honest broker, ensuring the ethical and responsible use of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with regulatory guidelines such as HIPPA. You will provide data in various forms, ranging from aggregated data (counts) to patient-level data, which may include de-identified datasets or datasets that include protected health information (PHI). The ability to seamlessly execute complex joins from complex databases will be a hallmark of your role. As a Data Analyst III within our team, your skills and dedication will empower Moffitt cancer researchers to unlock invaluable insights, propelling medical breakthroughs and patient care enhancements.
