Moffatt & Nichol is a global engineering firm with headquarters in Long Beach, California. Since 1945, the company has offered services in the fields of engineering, science, and planning to clients all over the world. Through our High School Summer Engineering Week, we are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications from students who are highly motivated and ready to investigate potential career paths in the fields of engineering and science.

The plan is to introduce exciting new project experiences at the high school level and the goal is to inspire bright young minds to pursue higher education in the fields of science and engineering so that they can contribute to tomorrow's infrastructure demands.

Students who participate in the program will spend five days learning about a variety of engineering disciplines and collaborating with industry professionals on current themes, including the following:

• Bridge design and seismic engineering concepts
• Floating offshore wind farm design, permitting, and construction
• Port operations planning for changes in global trade
• Wetland restoration and environmental protection
• Sea level rise modeling and shoreline protection

Engineers and scientists from Moffatt & Nichol will guide students through each topic via presentations, field trips, and hands-on activities. At the week's end, there will be an Opportunity to meet with college admissions counselors from prestigious engineering schools

In order to be considered for this position you must:

• Be at least an incoming Junior in a local high school during summer 2024
• Complete this application
