Legal Assistant - Direct Hire

Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Legal Assistant opening with a law firm in River Falls, WI. Interested candidates should have 2 years of experience working as a Legal Assistant, personal injury background preferred, a positive attitude and the willingness to learn and grow with the company.
Legal Assistant Job Description:
Use established forms and procedures to keep files moving and current
Prepare trial exhibits and answers to written discovery
Transcribe dictation from attorney
Order and organize health care records and prepare health care expense summaries
Communicate with clients daily and send materials to damages experts
Prepare arbitration/mediation and demand packages
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings
Assist in other areas and be willing to help as needed
Legal Assistant Job Requirements:
Paralegal or Legal Assistant Certificate (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
A positive and proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word & Excel)
The starting salary for the Legal Assistant position is $48,000-$50,000 annually depending on experience.
