Belt Installer – Direct Hire

Currently looking for a skilled individual to fill a Direct Hire Belt Installer opening with a company in Plymouth, MN. Interested candidates should have 5 years of experience with conveyor belt installations, the ability to work at heights, confined spaces, hazardous areas and be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and travel as needed.
Belt Installer Job Description:

• Detect and report defective equipment, material, and conditions that may compromise safety, quality, or customer requirements
• Support belt installations that may require more than a 24-hour period
• Work with installers to support scheduling of both in-state and out-state belt installations
• Able to work at heights, confined spaces, and hazardous areas
• Work closely with our sales teams to support customer requirements
• Provide detailed reporting on all belt installation jobs
• Build conveying belts as required by production order and manufacturing guidelines
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and timely
• Report all quality issues to department leadership
• Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings

Belt Installer Job Requirement:

• 5 years of experience with conveyor belt installations
• 2 years of fork truck and aerial lift experience
• 2 years of experience interfacing with customers
• 1-2 years minimum conveyor belt work experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with in-depth customer facing conversations
• Ability to follow instructions and operate independently
• Ability to read tape measure and read blueprints
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willing to work varying work schedules, including day shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays with short notice
• OSHA 10 certified
• Willing to travel both in-state and out-state via car, bus, train, or air for multiple days
• NIBA lightweight belting trained

The starting salary for the Belt Installer position is $35.00 hourly DOE
