Role and Responsibilities : As a Landscaping Crew Member you will assists with day-to-day landscaping duties on base. You will also execute all required landscaping responsibilities efficiently and productively. You will safely operate machinery and hand tools as directed by your supervisor.
* Perform routine maintenance and inspect equipment at the end of each day.
* Perform inspection daily of his/her equipment to notice any potential equipment malfunction.
* Weed whack any areas that a mower cannot mow, as well as, hard to reach service areas.
* Weed whack areas in a safe and productive manner while avoiding damage to other people's property.
* Ensure all safeguards and safety itemsare being used and operated by the user.
* Wear all safety gearare requiredby CW Resources.
* Notify Crew Leader of any areas that are unsafe to weed whack or cannot be serviced for the day.
* Obey and observe all trafficlaws while operating equipment.
* Work with Crew Leader to ensure 100% completion of assigned areas.
* Ensure that all areas assigned for the day are completed up to contract standards.
* Perform re-servicing of failed areas.
* Adhere to company policies and breaks.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* High school diploma and/or GED.
* Minimum of (1) One year landscaping experience.
* Ability to work directly with disabled individuals.
Physical Demands:
The Landscaping Crew Member is a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
* Frequently required use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects tools or controls.
* Must spend the entire time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects, operating medium-weight lawn care equipment.
* Required to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions.
* Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Demands: The incumbent will be exposed to outdoor elements and may have to work in extreme heat. The incumbent may be exposed to loud noises for extended periods.
