Labor Grade XVJob Title: Tool & Die Maker
Rate: $26.73/hrJOB DESCRIPTION:
- Read, interpret, and work from complicated sketches, prints, and/or specifications
- Setup and operation of metal working machine tools such as manual and/or CNC milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for checking dimensional accuracy of parts
- Knowledge of heat treating and properties of metals
- Must be familiar with clearances and fits required in different types of dies and for different materials
- Will perform die tryouts to ensure quality of parts produced
- Perform die changeovers as needed by production
- Make repairs and/or fabricate new fixtures or parts
- Thorough technical knowledge and communication skills
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace
- Will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Must perform all work to an exceptional standard
