For more information about Modine, visit www.modine.com.Position Description:The Focus Factory Manager is responsible for all aspects of SQDIP, Continuous Improvement and Performance Management/Talent Development for their department. Direct reports include but are not limited to Operation(s) Supervisors and Engineering. This role reports into the Plant Manager.Key Responsibilities:

Provides leadership for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity for department
Ensures product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations
Application of 80-20 principles to simplify, focus, and improve the business performance
Partner with CI/Lean leadership to drive a culture of improvement for both product quality and operational efficiency. Develop and lead continuous improvement/kaizen roadmap to drive quality and operational efficiency improvements
Drive results and employee engagement through use of Daily Visual Management
Work collaboratively with NPD engineering team to develop prototypes and process improvements
Adherence to labor strategy; union avoidance; use of temporary workforce etc.
Develop production strategies and schedules which maximizes level loading, overtime reduction and cross-training
Oversight of standard training processes and standard work
Ensure department maintains ISO:9001 compliance status
Prepare and report out regular plant wide communication meetings
Work collaboratively with plant manager and leadership team to set AOP targets and develop actions plans to ensure targets are met
Create robust development plans for direct reports to develop talent and bench strength for operations and engineering
Responsible for all aspects of performance management for department
Lead through a culture of integrity, excellence, teamwork and accountability

Required Qualifications:

5 years in Operations, Engineering or Supply Chain leadership role with direct reports
Experience leading kaizens and continuous improvement events
Experience developing and utilizing visual management tools to drive SQDIP and KPIs

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree is required in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field
Master’s Degree is preferred but not required

Travel:

Up to 10% domestic travel
