Responsibilities

We’re seeking a creative and hardworking undergraduate student, with an interest and background in marketing, communications, English, human resources (HR), or related field. The intern will partner with the Learning & Development (L&D) Team to gain hands-on experience working on internal marketing Human Resources projects. Candidates local to the Nation’s Capital Region are strongly desired.

• Partner with L&D team members to create, implement, and maintain internal marketing initiatives to promote a learning culture
• Research L&D trends, learning culture, learning metrics and return on investment (ROI) strategies to help inform marketing plan and measure success
• Explore and implement creative ways to communicate and share marketing content with a dispersed employee workforce
• Draft written employee communications for email distribution and monthly newsletters
• Design and provide content for internal L&D intranet site
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to target various employee groups
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in marketing, communications, English, HR, or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization, administrative, and time management skills
• Collaborative team player who can work independently and demonstrating initiative, ownership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take direction, work independently, and partner in a team environment
• Ability to quickly learn and process information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, reliability, flexibility, and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
