Modern Farm Equipment is seeking a high-energy, positive individual who brings the desire to learn and grow into a long-term successful career in the ag and light construction equipment industry. Previous experience and knowledge of large agriculture equipment is welcomed but not required. Service Advisors motivate and inspire their team to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations while maximizing efficiency and profitability in the Service Department.
As a Service Advisor, you will:
· Field internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
· Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced
· Assist with triage processes to streamline parts ordering ahead of repair as practical
· Assist Parts Department with ordering and receiving parts for the service department
· Maintain the service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
· Maintain internal records and files pertaining to Service Department operations
· Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work order
· Prepare warranty and/or product improvement claims and forwards to the Warranty Administrator
· Assist in loading and unloading of customer equipment
· Actively documents future additional work for the service department
· Interact in a positive and respectful manner with customers and fellow employees
· Post and submits accounts payable invoices to Accounting Department
· Provide administrative support to the sales, parts, and service department
· Collect sales tax exemption forms and forwards to Accounting Department
· Perform other duties as assigned
