In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, MobilizeGreen will offer an Urban Conservation Crew Program at The John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum in Philadelphia, PA.
The program will have sessions for high school students interested in outdoor conservation work and education. Crew Members will work together in teams to complete conservation projects around the wildlife refuge, including improvements to hiking trails, wildlife habitat and visitor infrastructure. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in environmental education and outdoor recreation activities led by crew leaders and Fish and Wildlife staff.
This program experience is unique and can create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. Program recruitment is targeted to attract youth from diverse backgrounds from the greater Philadelphia area.
MEMBER OPPORTUNITIESSummer Crews: Starting July 8th; program hours are roughly 9-3:30.
