Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Counter Person to join our team. As a Counter Person, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and assisting with food preparation. This is a fast-paced role within the food industry that requires strong time management skills and a friendly demeanor.
Duties:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register
- Prepare and serve food items according to customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area
- Answer customer inquiries and provide accurate information about menu items
- Upsell additional products or specials to increase sales
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food products
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation
- Assist with restocking inventory and maintaining adequate supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions
