LPN will relay messages between providers, patients, and other medical facilities. Provide authorizations for medical testing. Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and communicating effectively with management, customers, and co-workers.

Responsibilities:

· Answer phone calls and questions from callers

· Record patient’s medical activity in MEDENT

· Scheduling/Assisting providers telemedicine visits/Annual Wellness Visits

· Perform medical clerical duties to include some of the following:

• Triage calls between patients and providers
• Set up in-home lab work
• Review labs and radiology reports
• Provide authorizations imaging per physician directive
• Communicate with outside vendors such as hospitals, labs, ultrasound facilities, radiology facilities, and home health agencies.
• Record patient’s medical activity in MEDENT
• Complies with all elements of HIPPA
• Assisting with implementation of acute visit process
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

·License Practical Nurse

· One to three years of experience preferred

· Proficient with MEDENT or a similar EMR software

· Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience

· HIPPA & Medical terminology knowledge

· Strong customer service skills

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· Effective communication skills – verbal and written.

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a high volume of calls

· Detailed oriented with a proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
