Mobile Health Team Inc., a staffing agency has an opening for an RN - Long Term Care. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Hot Springs, SD 57747
13 Week Duration | Nights |8-hour shifts | 40-hours guaranteed weekly The Estimated Weekly Total is based on working the listed hours per week. Please get in touch with a recruiter for full details. looking for a Charge Nurse RN for its multidisciplinary care team. In this role, you will provide general nursing care to residents. The RN contributes to overall resident care which is guided by the resident care plan, facility policies and procedures, and professional standards of practice, and directly supervises the Nursing Assistants.
Responsibilities
  • Make nursing assessments regarding the health status of the residents; make a nursing diagnosis that serves as the basis of the strategy of care.
  • Develop a plan of care based on assessment and nursing diagnosis; implement nursing care; and evaluate responses to nursing interventions.
  • Make provisions for outside physician visits to ensure residents’ medical needs are met.
  • Demonstrates effective communication with physician and family members to ensure resident needs are met. Performs teaching to residents, families, and staff to ensure understanding of the resident’s plan of care.
  • Understands, promotes, and implements the choices philosophy and resident rights.
  • Prepares, administers, and charts routine and emergency medication and treatment as ordered. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their side effects.
  • Ensure clinical record reflects accurate and timely documentation to ensure continuity and quality of resident care.
  • Perform safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for residents and staff. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, participates in a Quality Management program to ensure appropriate standards of care are met within the facility.
  • Functions as the primary contact person on assigned shift. Effectively supervises resident assistants to ensure compliance with the plan of care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and ability in IV therapy including initiating IVs, administration of initial medication, and management of central line and catheters.
Experience/Education/QualificationExperience: Previous RN experience is preferred
Education: Education commensurate with the requirements of licensure. OR is a new graduate who is in the process of taking your RN exam.
Licenses, Certifications, And/or Registration
  • Must currently hold an active unencumbered license within the State of South Dakota;
  • OR Have a temporary permit allowing you to practice in the State of South Dakota;
  • OR Have applied for a South Dakota RN licensure by endorsement;
EMR System: Point Click knowledge/experience is preferred
