Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency hasan opening for a permanent fulltime Nationally CertifiedMedical Assistant(CMA) position.

Start Date : 4 / 16 / 2024

Shift : Days Full Time

Salary : $54000.00 to$66000.00

5k signon 10k relocation

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accuratelycollects and documents information in patient charts. Keeps patientrecords in order with all forms properly identified;

copies andcompiles other medical data as needed.

  • Assures patient medication and immunization records arecurrent.
  • Recognizes signs or symptomsrequiring prompt intervention and acts appropriately.
  • Transport patients within the facility as needed.
  • Demonstrate ability to smoothly managepatient care duties while maintaining clinic flow.
  • Reports and when appropriate records any changes observedin the condition or behavior of patients unusual incidents orbreaches in safety.

Observe patients to ensure children elderly orimpaired patients who require observation or assistance havesomeone in attendance.

  • Sets up equipment andsupplies for routine exams and minor procedures.
  • Prepares patients for and assists with procedurestreatments and minor office surgeries.
  • Provides specimen collection and Point of Care Testing(POCT). Follows protocol for collecting labeling and transportingspecimens.
  • Performs and assists withradiology exams per protocol if competencies are met.
  • Assists Provider as directed and trained by Provider aswell as within their licensed Scope of Practice.
  • Assists Clinic Nurse as needed.
  • Provides immunizations and injections as ordered by theProvider.
  • May perform basic life support ascertified.
  • Assists provider in identifyingpatients overdue for immunizations and preventative healthmaintenance including routine urgent and emergent appointments withappropriate provider and clinic.

Other Functions

  • Attends andparticipates in at least 50% of area staff meetings annually;responsible for applying information presented in staff meetings;
  • participates in unit goal setting; complies with area anddepartmental scheduling guidelines; initiates discussion withdepartment manager regarding area or department issues;
  • complieswith dress code; refers unresolved problems withpatients / visitors / coworkers to appropriate Manager for resolution;

addresses employee concerns consistent with Human Resources Policy.

Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION

Experience :

Experience working in ahealthcare setting preferred.

Education :

High school diploma or GED required

Licenses Certifications and / orRegistration :

  • CurrentBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR
  • EMT III Current AK Certification OR
  • Current AK ParamedicCertification OR
  • A nursingDegree from an accredited institution can replace the requirementsabove.

Knowledge Skillsand Abilities :

  • Clinicprocedures for receiving and following through on a patient visitand any related clinic treatments and procedures.
  • Ageappropriate vital signs and behaviors.
  • Lifesaving procedures.
  • Medicalterminology and the ability to readily learn and use variouscomputer programs are preferred.
  • Communication and use of customer service skills.
  • Computer application skills sufficient toutilize medical databases competently.
  • Ability to operate medical equipment including bloodpressure cuff pulse oximeter EKG machine cardiac monitor and manualdefibrillator.
  • Good interpersonal andcommunication skills; strong organizational skills.
  • Train and use various EMR systems and accurately recordpatient data.
  • Communicate and interact withall members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately inemergencies.
