MNX Global Logistics is Hiring a System Administrator / Technical Support - On-Site LAX Near Los Angeles, CA

Description

The System Administrator will be responsible for configuring software and resolving moderately difficult technical problems. They will also monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements. They will gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

What you will do:
  • Assist with resolving Tier-1 support requests.
  • Resolve 80% of assigned Tier-2 support requests within 1 business day
  • Resolve 95% of assigned Tier-2 support requests within 5 business days
  • Assign 95% of support tickets to appropriate personnel within 2 business hours
  • Work with the other team members to understand the applications use and maintenance.
  • Monitor application integrity and create and respond to actionable alerts for their applications.
  • Provide a weekly status report for current projects.
  • Review and provide recommendations to improve application performance.
  • Manage tickets and tasks assigned to provide detailed information on all support provided, recommended solutions, and improvements that are implemented.
  • Provide technical assistance to team members as needed.
  • Mentor teammates on how to improve support and troubleshooting.
  • Recommend monitoring operations to enhance proactive support.
  • Create and maintain standard documentation, charts, workflows, and drawings for policies, procedures and practices.
  • Demonstrate effective time management and the ability to maintain multiple tasks.
  • Apply effective communication and customer support.
  • Serve as Part of the "On Call" Rotation
What you bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology related fields or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Customer Service and Information Technology.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience troubleshooting websites.
  • Large enterprise experience .
  • Basic understanding Windows Server architecture.
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 Administration, Windows security, AD Proxy, Virtual Directory solutions and related technology.
  • Good communication skills with ability to articulate the technical and functional aspects of a development/production issues.
  • Ability to follow the runbooks and follow the process to meet the service levels.
  • Experience in the Financial Service Industry.
  • Knowledge of Unix, scripting and networking technologies
