MNI Targeted Media, a division of DotDash Meredith provides a single point of contact for multiplatform, customized and targeted advertising. From research and strategy to implementation and analysis, MNI Targeted Media offers the print and digital products and services needed to efficiently and effectively reach audiences in select markets. The Marketing Analyst position acts as a primary day-to-day research & insights contact across the sales organization, delivering strategic insights and recommendations for RFP/pre-sale through post-sale renewal. The responsibilities of this role include developing strategies for digital marketing campaigns, monitoring digital marketing trends, and analyzing data, creating data visualizations, and presenting insights and findings to colleagues and clients. This position requires excellent communication, creative problem-solving skills, and experience in brand/marketing storytelling. It requires a balance of strategic, tactical, and creative abilities as well as strong interpersonal and overall communication skills. Vital that candidate has capacity to juggle multiple tasks and be able to execute on several projects simultaneously. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 60% Conduct research regarding marketing strategies and consumer opinions while collaborating with planning. Translate syndicated data/third-party research to insights that guide media strategies to improve media effectiveness. Develop and provide direction that is clear and based on concrete rationale from your analyses, including actionable insights and recommendations. Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Understands and applies various statistical concepts, research data, standards, and practices. Works directly with cross-functional teams and department leadership to create research-based media proposals and research presentations. 25% Prepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable. Monitor and analyze digital media and marketing trends. Aid in developing and presenting thought-leadership analyses to key partners. 15% Communicate and present to colleagues, senior managers, and clients. Effectively partner with internal business teams to manage expectations, solve for issues that may arise and consistently add value. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience. 100% III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: A Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in marketing is strongly preferred (and/or equivalent, relevant work experience). Experience: 3-5 years of media experience preferred Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong time management skills. Positive attitude with natural problem-solving mentality. Heightened attention to detail. Ability to project manage multiple requests at the same time. Ability to work under pressure while handling multiple projects with tight deadlines. Ability to work successfully with a wide variety of personalities Must be skilled in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with syndicated research tools like MRI, ComScore, Nielsen and others a plus.
