JOB SUMMARYAt MMT, our objective is to develop excellence in automation, machine design, material handling, and custom tooling. The AR / AP Manager is responsible for assisting in preparing and recording journal entries and account reconciliations, internal management reporting, performing financial analysis, and participating in third party audits.JOB DUTIESEssential Job Functions:
Performs daily bank reconciliation and resolves discrepancies, ensuring all internal and external transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Supervise and assist AR/AP processors with credit applications, invoicing, PO’s, three way matching, and processing of accounts payable personnel
Manages AR collections
Works in cooperation with Controller to perform month end accounting close in a timely and accurate manner.
Assists in the year end audit process and other accounting projects as deemed necessary.
Direct, coordinate, and execute activities of personnel engaged in distributing of materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies. Hire, train, or supervise stockroom / shipping &receiving personnel.
Performs all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with coursework in Accounting/Finance PREFERRED.
5 years of experience in manufacturing / accounting (May consider 4 years of uninterrupted experience in combination with some college or university coursework in Accounting/Finance)
Knowledge of Financial Reporting and Audit preparation
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office
Advanced excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups.
Strong financial skills with a basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
A professional appearance and customer service oriented
Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
