Our client company is one of the most famous manufacturers of outdoor equipment, with a well-known brand dating back over 40 years. With locations around the world, and several major projects underway, they are growing their internal IT team at record-breaking speed. With the recent release of several new and groundbreaking products, they are in the middle of a digital transformation with countless long-term projects underway and set to kick off in 2024.

They are searching for a full-time Data Steward and Migration Specialist to join them right away as this company is looking to move their most important technical resources in-house after having been contracted to 3rd party partners. This Data Steward and Migration Specialist will maintain relationships with contractors and part-time recourse to improve business processes.

This is a highly visible collaborative role that the business cannot do without. The right person for this role will be highly experienced with S4 HANA/SAP to lead and manage data migration projects and support data objects creation and mass maintenance.

Position Summary

• Serve as the lead for data governance to ensure compliance is within standards.
• Manage data update tools such as Winshuttle, to orchestrate mock loads, data verification/validation cycles, and resolving data defects.
• Collaborate with business users and teams to support and oversee existing ECTR, IPS, and PPAP solutions.
• Design and implement data loading solutions within S4 HANA system, while analyzing and documenting business requirements.
• Create technical documentation for data migration and resolve help desk requests, including troubleshooting and mass data updates.

Minimum Experience

• A minimum of 10 years experience working as an S4 HANA/ SAP data conversion lead.
• Participation in at least 3 SDLC of SAP implementations.
• Extensive experience in leading data migration execution with cleansing, extraction, staging, transforming, loading and verifying SAP data.
• Experience in guiding team members and stakeholders through new data concepts such as Data Stewards, Data Governance, and Data Owners, enhancing data management and governance practices.
• Understanding of data load methods/ETL tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office Products.
• Technical background in SAP, must have configuration experience.
• Ability to work on-call schedule and flexibility to travel as needed.
