Department: Cardiac Services - Cardiac Cath Lab Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $59.36 - $71.00 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY Provides direct patient care to the adult patient population. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the Cardiac Catheterization environment. Communicates with the Physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room and equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Laboratory team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. This position will be expected to float to other Cardiac Services departments within the organization, as needed. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License required. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the Red Cross or American Heart Association (AHA) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the Red Cross or American Heart Association (AHA) certification required. Knowledge: Previous nursing experience required. One year of previous Cardiac Catheterization experience required. Minimum one year of experience in critical care, or the Emergency department. Skills: Has the physical and mental health sufficient to accomplish duties of a RN, able to meet the pharmacology requirements of Marshall Medical Center and computer familiarity. Proficient in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings.
