Department: MMF Pediatrics - PV Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable) Minimum Pay Range $31.52 - $40.23 Job Description POSITION SUMMARY The Outpatient Practice Director oversees Provider offices within the Marshall Medical Clinics and is responsible for the department personnel and ensures the quality of care and use of resources associated with each clinic. Responsible for providing visionary leadership to maximize the effectiveness of and provides accountability for, all patient care, human resources, operational and fiscal management of the department(s). This is a position that requires independent decision-making, emotional and physical stamina, diplomacy, team orientation, a positive attitude and willingness to get the job done regardless of the task. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training/experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. *Must meet all DMV requirements listed below. Knowledge: Minimum of five (5) years of recent management experience required. Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience required. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive, engaged teams and work with providers required. Proven knowledge or ability to learn business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles, including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment. Excellent understanding of medical office, patient and information flow required. Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing required. Experience where planning, coordination, motivation and direction to staff and ability to propose innovative solutions to challenges have been demonstrated required. Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to, implement the requirements of providing patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment required. Demonstrated ability to make decisions in the absence of immediate supervision that benefit the clinic, and are in compliance with Marshall Medical Center required. Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization requests, including verifying personal credentials with external partners to obtain this information (e.g., ID.me for identity verification for VA insurance coordination). *Note: Requires employees to drive at least once per pay period. Candidates must possess and supply proof of: a current CA Driver’s License, a clean DMV printout and Auto Insurance coverage with a minimum of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per occurrence (or a combined single limit of $100,000) and property damage coverage in an amount not less than $50,000 per occurrence.
