Essential Functions:

This position is in charge of all the pricing activities and margin improvement initiatives. Support Customer Profitability Management including analysis of current materials, operational processes and supply chain costs and supporting implementation of actions to drive customer value and increase margins. Support and analyze all new business and RFQ’s /bids with the local Estimators and Business Services Manager to ensure best market growth opportunity.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities Include:

Price customer/product and support estimating activities aligned with the Cost Estimator who ensures accurate and complete cost estimates for all orders and products including new quotes, projects and bids.

Perform job closure analysis on profitability

Build and own a commercial budget for customer margin improvement. Develop and maintain customer profitability reporting.

Support and coordinate activities from Customer Margin Improvement team, including supply chain, procurement, operations, customer account managers to drive customer profitability.

Support all Bid/RFQ and pricing projects

Maintain close communication with Supply Chain and Operations in order to have the estimation tables up to date to ensure accurate estimates and costing.

Discover profit leakages, recover compensation from customers and revise cost estimates/prices to ensure leakages do not repeat.

Supports estimation analysis and efforts.

Position Requirements:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Marketing, Industrial Engineering preferred.

3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably the printing/packaging industry with high end requirements, i.e. Pharmaceutical/Health Care

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

Project Management

Strong financial acumen

Excellent knowledge of the printing/packaging industry

Ability to think and act independently.

Ability to read and understand customer specifications.

Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Must be aware of and responsive to time constraints.

Know Good Manufacturing Practices and quality requirements of pharmaceutical printed components.

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Excellent computer skills, knowledge of MS office

Physical Demands:

Individuals will need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.

Work Environment:

The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection will be required. Requires the removal of personal items such as jewelry, rings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, and earrings. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
