Job Title: Grant Writer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will play a key role in securing funding to support our school's programs, initiatives, and capital projects. Working closely with the administration, faculty, and development team, the Grant Writer will research funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and maintain relationships with funders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with the mission and priorities of MLMPI Prep Academy.
  • Write and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports in a timely manner, adhering to the guidelines and requirements of each funding source.
  • Collaborate with school leadership, faculty, and staff to gather information, data, and testimonials for grant proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, approvals, and rejections, as well as reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective funders, including regular communication and acknowledgment of support.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, and opportunities in grant writing and fundraising for education and nonprofit organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in grant writing, with at least [insert number] years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong research skills and ability to identify relevant funding opportunities for educational programs and initiatives.
