Acute Care Physical Therapist Opportunity

One of our clients in the region has engaged us to help recruit an Acute Care Physical Therapist to join their growing team.

Position Overview: As an Acute Care Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their mobility and independence. In our acute care setting, you will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, providing therapy services to individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or illness.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' physical status and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and home care techniques.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy and implement evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
