MKEC Engineering is Hiring an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Near Wichita, KS

MKEC is looking for an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our team at our Wichita, KS location. This position will primarily work in Industrial Process Control and/or Water and Wastewater.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of directly related experience.
  • Experience in Industrial Process Control and/or Water and Wastewater is preferred.
  • Design of detailed electrical control systems including plan drawings, network drawings, installation details, control panel drawings, I/O lists, etc.
  • Develop, test, and startup of PLC programs and HMI application
  • Demonstrated knowledge/familiarity with: Allen Bradley, RSLogix500 & 5000, FactoryTalk View SE & ME, Wonderware System Platform, Proficy Machine Edition, Unity, Concept, Vijeo
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Meet the physical requirements to work in and around construction sites.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as time management skills.
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Compliance with MKEC and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
