Director of Tax

The Lanco Group is seeking a Director of Tax to lead the financial function for a dynamic organization with several domestic and growing international markets at their Homewood, IL location.

The Director of Tax will oversee all aspects of tax planning and compliance for the Company and its Family Office.

What does it take to do this job?

· Responsible for all Federal, State and Local tax matters for the Company’s domestic and international businesses and for its family ownership structure.

· Manage the completion and timely filing of US Federal, State/Local and international income tax returns including all related analysis and support.

· Liaise with external tax advisors on tax structures and strategic planning opportunities to proactively maximize tax effectiveness for the Company and Family Office.

What do I need to be successful in the position?

· BA degree in Finance/Accounting or related field

· Masters in Taxation and/or CPA preferred

· 15 years of combined related tax experience

· 5 years of management/supervisory experience

· Experience with foreign company operations preferred.

· Strong knowledge of financial, accounting, and risk principles and concepts.

· Ability to multi-task and meet communicated schedules/deadlines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information and recommendations to company owners, executives, and both internal and external business partners.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ERP business systems.

Pay: $89,236.42 - $107,467.52 per year
