Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Manager to oversee the logistics and supply chain operations at our facility. The Yard Manager will be responsible for managing transportation planning, inventory control, and demand planning to ensure efficient and timely movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills and experience in transportation management.

Duties:

- Coordinate and manage all yard activities, including the movement of trucks, trailers, and containers

- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling

- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement team to ensure adequate supply

- Develop and implement transportation plans to optimize efficiency and reduce costs

- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions

- Maintain accurate records of yard activities, including inventory counts and shipment details

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve overall yard operations

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement measures to mitigate risks

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)

- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a yard or warehouse setting

- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other analytical tools

- Knowledge of demand planning principles and inventory control techniques

- Familiarity with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations is a plus

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
