Job Description

SUMMARY:

Interview Today! We have an immediate opening for a Front Desk Agent. The responsibility of the Front Desk Agent is to ensure guest reservations and guest check-ins. Be the "face" of the Inn; provide a great experience for guests and visitors; monitor special requests, and perform daily front desk administrative duties. Ability to also ensure the cleanliness of the buildings, guest rooms, and all other common areas. This is a position for an integral member of the hotel team who will be expected to undertake all roles efficiently, be self-motivated, and be a self-starter with a genuine positivity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be attentive, friendly and helpful, and courteous to all guests and visitors.
  • Strong verbal written skills with an emphasis on a good customer experience...every time.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve.
  • Attention to details; ability to work in a team environment.
  • Take initiative and have a pro-active approach.
  • Must be reliable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check guests in and out.
  • Ability to make reservations over the phone and with walk in guests.
  • Checks all billing and verifies accuracy.
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily.
  • Respond to guest requests and offer activity recommendations.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures at the front desk.
  • Daily cleaning, office, and lobby areas with proper cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Review daily front office work and activity reports generated.
  • Daily common area clean-up including wiping down all eating area tables and vacuuming.
  • Assist with housekeeping whenever needed.
  • Complete nightly summary reports.
  • Log and communicate maintenance items.
  • Respond to emergency call system and to recognize and call emergency help when needed.
  • Communicate needed supplies to Manager.
  • Perform any other jobs as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work weekends/evenings/holidays
  • Computer experience
  • Experience in customer service
  • Must be able to pass background screening
