Job Description
Title: Quality Control Inspector
Reports to: Quality Control Manager
Based at: El Dorado, AR
Job purpose: At MJB, we have combined people, products and technologies to offer the most innovative wood products solutions available in the market today. The QC Specialist will develop, administer, and maintain the quality assurance programs that are required to ensure that MJB's products are in compliance with industry and customer quality standards. This entry level position is hourly and incentive bonus eligible.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Perform first article inspections, have familiarity with wood products
- Walking the floor to spot check QC in all sections of the operation
- Ensure QC procedures are followed by operators through random checks.
- Responsible for operators recording QC data accurately and timely.
- In a team effort, refine corrective action system for effectively addressing customer complaints
- Interpret customer specification in order to provide training and support to manufacturing personnel
- Maintaining metrics and reporting procedures in order to track total cost of quality
- Lead material review board in disposition of non-conforming material
Minimum requirements:
College degree preferred but not required. This is an entry level position.
Ability to read a tape measure is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Experience with primed MDF mouldings a plus
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
