MJ Resource Management is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Torrance, CA

Medical Biller/ Collector
The Medical Biller is responsible for assisting with submission of insurance claims for two healthcare companies in the South Bay. This position works directly with the Billing Supervisor.. This position ensures claims are accurate with timely delivery,

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Submit claims for multiple providers on EHR Software.
  • Posting of EOBs
  • Review EOB's and submit appeals when necessary
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as required
  • Data entry on insurance records and medical billing
  • Maintain files on each insurance company
  • Maintain client files on insurance claims and payment

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Three years of experience billing with commercial health insurance payors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities *

  • Organized with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independent judgment, wisdom, and common sense
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering large volume of claims
  • Reading and understanding documentation
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Working well in a team environment, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including community groups, and the public; and applying safe work practices.
