Our client is an International Bank based in Midtown Manhattan. They are looking for an AML Analyst to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be a hybrid position. All applicants must be vaccinated.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed investigations into correspondent banking transactions originating from or involving LATAM jurisdictions to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit activities.
• Analyze customer due diligence (CDD) documentation, transaction patterns, and other relevant data to assess the risk level and compliance with AML policies.
• Review and enhance existing AML procedures and controls related to LATAM correspondent banking activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Compliance, Risk Management, and Legal teams, to address AML-related issues and provide guidance on correspondent banking matters.
• Prepare and submit suspicious activity reports (SARs) and other regulatory filings in accordance with established guidelines and timelines.
• Stay abreast of evolving AML laws, regulations, and trends in LATAM jurisdictions, and communicate insights to the broader team.
• Assist in the development and delivery of AML training programs for employees involved in correspondent banking activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in AML compliance with a focus on correspondent banking, preferably in a financial institution serving LATAM markets.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal); additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of AML laws and regulations pertaining to correspondent banking activities in LATAM countries.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations, analyze complex financial transactions, and interpret regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are desirable.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
