Role Description

The Resource Manager, Intelligent Solutions is responsible for overseeing a team of engineers in the completion of engineering projects. The Resource Manager, Intelligent Solutions will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams in Intelligent Solutions and across Power generation Services and New Generation Services for the successful planning and execution of research and development projects related to TOMONI and other digital technology initiatives. This position is responsible for resource planning and loading to support digital programs and initiatives, personnel hiring / onboarding and performance reviews.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate Engineering resources to support engineering activities related to Digital technology Initiatives and to support Power Generation Services.
  • Developing detailed plans for new designs and products in coordination with Program Management and Product Line Management teams for developing Digital products and services.
  • Work with existing workflow process to ensure efficient use of resources and propose revisions and upgrades as the group grows in size and technical depth.
  • Create annual budgets for equipment, tools, staff and training
  • Project reporting; financials, budget, quality and deliver technical input for project scope and cost roll ups.
  • Coordinate with other department heads as required to organize necessary resources for the development and implementation of TOMONI and other digital solutions.
  • Ability to properly facilitate a meeting including recording of meeting minutes, keeping the meeting on topic and defining clear tangible action items that are followed up on timely.
  • Participate in the global marketing initiatives of the TOMONI digital solution product line as assigned.
  • Support product overview meetings and deliver presentations on TOMONI and other digital applications as required.
  • Business travel (approximately 25% or more) by land and/or air as needed.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Education and/or Experience: Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering or Computer Science/Programming from four-year college or university or technical institution, (MBA w/ bachelor’s in engineering preferred) and at least ten (10) years related experience in power generation with experience with multi-program program management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical journal, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and finance methods ROI, NPV. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills: SharePoint, Windows Operating Systems, Java, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Knowledge of PI system database software, Sharepoint, SAP technical network diagrams, process flowcharts etc.
