Mitek is Hiring a Remote Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for all aspects of outside sales and design support for the assigned territory. This position will direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the certified integrators, customers, and dealers. This position coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, goals and establishes training programs for certified integrators and dealers, factory representatives, consultants, and end users.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the administration of programs, promotions and the acceptance of orders for certified integrators and dealers. Will work to resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service to ensure the best possible outcome.
  • Responsible for the sales of MiTek products in assigned territory. Will monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts, pricing schedules and discount rates. Advise certified integrators and dealers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
  • Provide detailed quotations and technical documentation.
  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products and manage the independent representative companies and travel the area assigned to service certified integrators and dealers of the region.
  • Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment/product to purchase.
  • Oversee regional sales representative firms and support their efforts.

Essential Tasks

  • Advise certified integrators and dealers on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business.
  • Confer or consult with project management, engineers and software development team to secure information required to meet project specifications customer expectations.
  • Must be able to provide special consideration to special orders as well as special needs of certified integrators and dealers.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Some college or technical training desired
  • Advance training and/or certification for Audio Video Systems Integration, Networking and related education from SydAudCon, AES, InfoComm preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three or more years commercial audio, manufacturing, sales representative, retail and/or contracting experience required

Skills

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Visio helpful
  • Ability to learn our internal software

Other Requirements

  • Audio experience required
  • Basic networking knowledge preferred
  • Technically oriented and able to train others
  • Must have excellent phone and good information retention skills
  • Proven negotiation ability – retain profitability for MiTek/AtlasIED
  • Ability to maintain company or personal credit card

Work Environment

Position is Remote - must be located in Iowa, Missouri or Nebraska.

Normal office setting except when traveling.
