SummaryResponsible for assigning customer order ship dates, ensuring orders are processed on a daily basis according to the schedule, and coordinating/overseeing customer order loading and logistics.Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Able to create the production schedule and maintain the work-flow within an ERP system.
  • Generate sales order lead-times and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requests while best utilizing the company's production capacity.
  • Prepare production schedule based on current and backlog orders.
  • Participate in inventory activities such as cycle counts and year-end inventory.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, customer service, purchasing, logistics, supervision, and customers on incoming order status, production planning, freight requirements, and shipping status.
  • Responsible for the management of inventory levels, shipping schedules, availability of selected items manufactured, and the status of incoming material, to meet customer delivery requests.
  • Able to ensure accuracy and completeness of work by paying attention to details regarding information of products and inventory control plans.
  • Must possess solid analytical skills in forecasting and the ability to evaluate customer requests in comparison to production capabilities to generate accurate order lead-times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree; or 1-4 years related experience and/or training in production planning / production control function; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Effectively communicate with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues. Read and interpret documents such as sales orders, production schedules, shipping documents, etc. Write routine reports and correspondence. Developed strong communication, problem solving, and human relation skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Able to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and to draw / interpret graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Computer Skills: Strong skills and knowledge of Internet software and MS Software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP/MRP systems.
