MITCHELL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE FOUNDATION is Hiring an Instructional Media Specialist Near Mitchell, SD

Mitchell Technical College is currently seeking a full-time Instructional Media Specialist. The Instructional Media Specialist will collaborate with the Vice President for Academics, staff, and faculty.Job Description
  • Conducting research and collaborating with educators, subject experts, administration, and other professionals to develop quality curricula and learning resources.
  • Applying adult learning theory to curriculum designs to ensure students have applied and practical experiences.
  • Creating stimulating lesson plans and recommending additional practical, inclusive, and relevant resources.
  • Developing a range of digital resources to optimize classroom learning and ensure ongoing learning outside of formal settings.
  • Creating supplementary teacher and student guides.
  • Collecting and utilizing feedback from students, teachers, and clients in curriculum design.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
Required Knowledge And Skills
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in education
  • Strong digital communication and research skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great networking and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong planning skills, vision, and creative intelligence.
  • A passion for education.

The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault prevention and response, timely warnings, emergency response, and other matters.
