Shipping Lead Hand 2nd Shift

We currently have an opening for a Shipping Lead Hand based out of Charlestown, Indiana. This position will report to the Shipping Supervisor.

This role is responsible for performing a variety of duties supporting the Shipping Department. Candidates must be organized and have excellent communication skills.

• The duties and responsibilities include the ability to ensure the safe operation of forklifts in the shipping / receiving area by signing off on check sheets during Off Shifts;
• ensure product for shipments are picked in FIFO order and staged for next day start up at 7am; ensure that 12hr shortage E-mails are sent correctly and any inventory discrepancies are reported immediately to the Shipping Supervisor;
• ensure that all shortages are noted while staging shipments and recorded, 3hr shortage e-mails are sent during your shift and that all shipping discrepancies are handles appropriately;
• Ensure the 5S board is followed and filled out correctly on Off Shifts; Warehouse signs are hung for all FG locations Ensure that Warehouse and docks are clean and presentable at all times;

Ensure that the Quality alerts are signed by all Off Shift Team Members and coordinating expedites on Off Shifts; verification that Packing Slip and ASN’s are matched and sent out accordingly.

Following are the minimum qualifications : 1 years related experience as a shipper / receiver or material handler; Successful completion of forklift safety course;

Secondary school diploma.
