A.Duties & Responsibilities Complete operational responsibilities for Shipping and Receiving and Cycle CountingShipping: Provide direction and supervision to shipping personnel and ensure that all personnel engaged in the shipping function are properly trained for their assignments. Along with the Logistics Manager provide the necessary resources required to perform all functions as listed in the individual job descriptions for shipping personnelReceiving: Provide direction and supervision to receiving personnel and ensure that all personnel engaged in the receiving function are properly trained for their assignments. Along with the Logistics Manager provide the necessary resources required to perform all functions as listed in the individual job descriptions for receiving personnel. Co-ordinate in bound freight as required as per and negotiated agreements by the Logistics ManagerCycle Counting: Provide direction and supervision to cycle counting personnel and ensure that all personnel engaged in the cycle counting function are properly trained for their assignments. Along with the Logistics Manager provide the necessary resources required to perform all functions as listed in the individual job descriptions for receiving personnel.Ensure that cycle counts are performed daily as per the cycle count schedule, and that all discrepancies are rectified Ensure the safe operation of lift trucks in the shipping/receiving area.Ensure the accurate creation of daily pick lists reflecting required shipments.Ensure product is picked for shipments in FIFO order.Ensure that staged shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.Ensure that loaded shipments exactly match paperwork and meet customer requirements.Ensure that all receipts are received in good order and are moved to proper locations, in FIFO order.Ensure that all products is handled, moved and, stored in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration.Interface with production scheduling and customer service to ensure that all shipments are correct and to schedule 100% of the time.Interface with buyer, receiving inspector, and production supervision to ensure that all functions are aware of the status of expedited products received and required by production.Ensure that all receipts match packing lists and purchase order and are damage free before receiving.Ensure that completed shipments are forwarded to customer service, all required ASN’S are sent as required by the customer.Perform other related duties as instructed by management.B.Minimum Qualifications 2 years related experience as a shipper/receiver or material handler.Thorough understanding of Materials Management, with emphasis on shipping, receiving and inventory controlSuccessful completion of lift truck safety course and/or license.Secondary school diploma.C.Required Skills Leadership, organizational, and supervisory skillsUnderstanding of Automotive supplier expectations and requirements pertaining to deliveryExcellent communication skills.Knowledge of related policies and procedures.Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function. Knowledge of generally accepted Materials Management processesTraffic ManagementKnowledge of lifttruck operation and safety.Forms, Labels, and Tags governing job function.
