Misty Mountain Cannabis is Hiring a Budtender Near Ann Arbor, MI

Budtender

Overall, a budtender's role is to create a welcoming, informative, and responsible environment for customers while promoting safe and legal cannabis use. The role requires being able to work all the Front of House workstations, including reception, hosting, sales floor and customer sales and cashiering.

Responsibilities:

· Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging with customers, answering their questions, and helping them make informed decisions about cannabis products based on their preferences, needs, and desired effects.

· Verify customers are of legal age to be in a dispensary.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of the various cannabis strains, products, consumption methods (such as smoking, vaping, edibles, tinctures, etc.), and their effects.

· Be able to explain the differences between different strains, cannabinoid profiles (THC, CBD, etc.), and terpene profiles to customers.

· Educate customers on responsible cannabis consumption, including dosage guidelines, potential risks, and safety precautions.

· Know the current product inventory to recommend complementary products, accessories, or add-ons based on customer preferences and needs. Utilize product knowledge to suggest alternatives when certain items are out of stock and to upsell higher-value items when appropriate.

· Process customer transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash, and debit payments accurately. Provide customers with receipts, the correct change (if applicable) and ensure a smooth checkout process.

· Assist in maintaining inventory levels, restocking shelves, and arranging products in an organized and visually appealing manner.

· Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and well-maintained. Ensure that all work areas, display cases, and product shelves are tidy and free from debris.

· Adhere to security protocols to prevent theft or unauthorized access to the dispensary's inventory and cash.

· Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the store.

· Be a team player. Working together effectively as a team provides customers with a positive experience and ensures that all aspects of the business run smoothly.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience with retail, customer service and cash handling a plus.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Cannabis knowledge preferred.

· Understand the rules and regulations regarding the sale of cannabis per CRA guidelines

· Must be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Requirements:

· Must be over 21 years of age.

· Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

· Ability to stand for long periods of time, reach for items, bend and squat, move about the store and carry up to 40lbs.

· Must pass any and all required background checks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
