Missouri Highlands Health Care is seeking to hire a full time Dental Patient Service Representative Specialist in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Position Description

The Dental Patient Service Representative Specialist will be required to provide professional customer service by obtaining and verifying necessary demographic and insurance information and scheduling appointments. This position is directly supervised by the Clinic / Office Manager. This position collaborates closely with other patient service representatives, providers, support staff, and all other clinical staff. They will be responsible for navigating all patient needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Efficiently manage all forms of electronic communications throughout the entire workday. Includes (but not limited to) email, TEAMS, fax communications and pre-authorizations through online portals.

· Appropriately prioritize daily tasks.

· Review clinic schedules daily for changes from previous day(s) and/or changes that occur throughout the day.

· Pre-scrub appointments and verify findings with appropriate clinic.

· Review recall frequencies.

· Review payor/guarantor sources.

· Review account balances.

· Review demographics.

· Review all necessary pre-authorization needs and determinations based on scheduled procedures.

· Run and document/scan all insurance eligibility.

· MO Healthnet/MCO: Verify plan code, dental coverage, and level.

· Check third party liability and submit it to MO Healthnet as needed.

· Calculate copays.

· Prepare and send appropriate referrals as needed.

· Notify appropriate personnel regarding chart discrepancies.

Education & Requirements

• High school diploma, or GED required.
• BLS – Basic Life Support
• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience.

• Word processing and computer experience, highly recommended.
• Medical/Dental terminology is helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
